The final straight :)

Hello again!
It's been quite long when I wrote here last time. Unfotunately, I have a lot of work recently, And there will be more and more in next few months... Winter is a period when you realise that there are about 5 months to finish the academic year and, in my case, to graduate.
This thought makes my blood run cold. I always tell myself that there's a lot of time and then I postpone everything which doesn't demand a hurry. But I comfort myself with a fact that I'm not only one in that situation :).
There's an exam session before me and I want to focus in passing all the subjects. Later, I will work on my master thesis, which actually is still in nappies :) (what a shame...)
I hope everything will be all right and that in June or July I could boast about my Master degree :)

Strange events :)

Hi, there!
It's almost a month when I wrote my last post here. Now, when Christmas and the end of the year are coming, all the matters gain momentum and it's really hard to find some time to write something relevant.
Today, I'd like to describe some events which happen to me from time to time and then I think if I'm the only one person who has something like this or we are more :)
Has it ever happened to you that you've thought about somebody and, after a while, you met that person in the street or somewhere else? It happened to me few times. What's important is that those people weren't my close friends or relatives which I meet everyday, but friends I see a few times for a year. Recently, I was walking to the University and I thought about my friend's brother who studies on my department. After a moment, I met him next to the entrance of the building :)
Another thing happened to me yesterday. Since awakening, in my head I was still "hearing" John Lennon's song "Imagine", because an extract from this song is on the title of my blog and I would write a post yesterday. "You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one..." - I think it's the most beautiful phrase from this song :) How big was my astonishment when we began our English class at the University with THIS Lennon's song...
I don't know if I'm insane or something like this, but I like this feeling :) And I hope I'm not alone in this case :)

Bear up, Paris!

Hello again.
After last Friday's events in Paris I still can't collect my thoughts... It's incredible how a man may do something like this to another man. With good reason a man is called the most dangerous beast all over the world.
I'm furious and at the same time terrified... It could happen to each of us.. When I was visiting Paris in 2010 it never even occured to me to think that in a few years the people would be murdered in these places. But it's Europe, it's the civilised world, there are no longer wars! I can't imagine that in 21st century such things happen...
Who will be next? How long it will last? How many more people must die that the world at last wakes up?
I'm afraid that it's just too late, that Europe plunges more and more each day, that my generation will be this one, which will suffer a next war...

Autumn time

Hello!
The autumn has began for good. After last Saturday's change of time it's more and more visible: the day is shorter, it's getting dark faster and, like in my case, one's getting tired too early. However, I have to say that this year's autumn is so beautiful: it isn't almost raining, there are a lot of multicoloured leaves and a lot of sun. I think it'll change soon, so we have to make use of it completely.
Before us November the first, the All Saints' Day. Like every year we'll mention all of these people who are no longer with us. We'll visit cemeteries and light candles for them.
Actually, I'm in the middle of looking for accommodation for New Year's Eve in the Tatra Mountains, in Zakopane. I think we are a bit late because just now it's very hard to find some rooms. I hope for the best and I think we'll find something nice this week. Next year we'll think about it a bit earlier :)

Hello everyone!
The New Academic Year has begun, so it's time to restart writing posts on my blog and continue my adventure with English :). This year will be special, because it's last one at the University and it will finish with a Master title. There's a lot of work before me and I hope to graduate successfully. I don't know yet if I stay in Poznań or I come back home, but it's a certainty that I would work with Spanish in the nearest future.
It's really sad to finish studies because 5 years is not one day and I'll miss so much all these things which happened to me in Poznań. I met here many great people, gained a bit of professional experience and, first of all, learned independence.
On the other hand, one can't always be a student because it comes time for the other things like work, getting married, etc.
There's nothing for it but to take a maximal advantage of this last year and work hard to achieve :).
No pain, no gain! :)

My plans for May

Hello again!
And again more than 2 weeks without writing :( It's so hard to find just a little time to enter here and write some words. The April was very busy and I even don't want to think what will happen on May :o !
There's one certain thing: every May's weekend equals a party in my family. Everything started 25th April when it was my cousin's 18th birthday. The party was awesome: we were dancing until dawn and laughing a lot during all the time :) My cousin received many presents and greeted adulthood at full pelt :) So as I said, everything started more than week ago. Next Sunday, 10th May there's my goddaughter's 1st birthday :). I can't wait for this day because I prepared for her an awesome gift :). I don't know if it's a nationwide custom, but in my region when a baby has his/her 1st birthday, (s)he is seated on mum's/dad's knees and has to choose an object put in front of him/her. Each object symbolize who will be the baby in the futute or what will (s)he do then. The objects are: a vodka glass (I don't have to say what it means :) ), some money, a book and a rosary. It's interesting because as I remember, for this occasion there were a lot of funny moments in my family :).
We go so on, and Saturday 16th I'm going to my cousin's Communion. Even further, Sunday 24th there's my other cousin's Communion, connected with her little brother's 1st birthday.
I don't know when I will find some time to start study for my exam session because, how you can see, there will be any time at weekends and even less during the weeks (you know, studies, work etc.).
However, I hope I will reconcile all the things and everything will be ok :)

What will bring the Spring? :)

Wow, almost a month without blogging! I feel ashamed.. My resolution to write here some words every week failed. But I'll try to fix it :)
So... We've already the middle of April, The Easter was long ago and we're approaching to the end of academic year.. Well, before we'll have holidays, we have to pass exam session and this news is bloodcurdling :o!
BUT! Before June we have May, and this is the most favourite month for all the students! In the first week of May has place a new achievement of my University- instead of Wielkie Grillowanie UAM now it's called Wielka Majówka Studencka and doesn't have place yet in Morasko, but in AZS Stadium. In the end of May there'll be the biggest students' event, which will last 4 days, that is Juwenalia. Then all the Universities and Colleges of Poznań will entertain together :) I can hardly wait until Juwenalia because one of the Stars will be my favourite band Coma! :) It seems to be a great time :)

Spring's coming!

Hello everyone!
The beautiful weather makes me write here some words. I can hardly wait to the Spring's coming, although there's a lot of sun since few days. Even though the first day of Spring is 21st March, a lot of people has yet changed over winter to spring clothes :). Now, it's my turn!
Today I would tell you that I wait impatiently for the April 13th. You may ask why, so the answer is Game of Thrones Season 5! I went mad about this serial since the first episode and I want more and more! :) I think I started my adventure with GoT from the wrong way because firstly I watched all the seasons and then I reached for the books. Now, however, when I have nothing to watch I resort to the book with pleasure :). Furthermore, now I have a good comparison because the serial strays a little from the plot of the GoT's saga.
There's only one thing which irritates me in Game of Thrones: when you already come to like some characters and in some way you become attached to them, they suddenly die :(. Of course not all of them, but in my case it's confirmed a few times! So, if you want to start your adventure with GoT, you have to remember one thing: DON'T GET ATTACHED TO NOBODY! :)

Winter trip

Hi, there!
It's about 2 months from my last post here. I know, it's a little shame, but January and February were the most busy period due to the end-of-term examinations.
Now, I will try to write here regularly, I promise :).
So, what happened during these 2 months except for the exams? Nothing special except my winter trip to the mountains for skiing :) I was so excited to go there because of the fact that I didn't ski for 4 years. You may ask why... BECAUSE OF EXAMS! :( This year is the first one from 4 years when I had time to go on holiday with my family. Since I've started studying, I've always had winter exams when my family went for skiing and I couldn't go. That's why I was very happy when this winter I finally could go with them :).
The trip was great! We spent in Czarna Góra about a week. But what a week! It was full of attractions and I laughed a lot. The best one was sleigh ride with all my relatives. We went on two sleighs into a forest and there we made a bonfire on which we fried sausages and bread. The highlanders, who drived the sleighs, related a lot of funny stories and we spent very good time there.
Of course, we was going skiing almost every day. I have to boast that I fell only one time considering that I hadn't skis on my legs for 4 years :). I recognize it as my little success :).
I hope next year I will be able to go skiing again and that, after all, I will manage to coax my boyfriend into go with me, because he had never ski at all :).

Happy New Year... after one week! ;-)

Hello everyone!
We're already in 2015 and at last I could "catch" my blog and continue writing. To tell the truth, I didn't have so much time during this Christmas/New Year fever, so a new post not until today.
Firstly, I would wish to all of you Happy New Year, a lot of happiness, prosperity, health and nothing but great moments till December :)
The Christmas has passed so fast that I even noticed it. I got a lot of presents: especially money, but also two first volumes of saga "Game of thrones" (I fell in love with HBO serial, so I decided to read the books now :) ), a scarf, a wallet and of course a good deal of sweets :). I've visited some relatives and they have visited me too. In closing the Christmas Eve, like every year, I went to the church for Christmas midnight mass. During both Christmas feasts I ate a lot of excellent dishes and, unfortunately, put on weight :(. Now it's time to lose some kilos! :)
The New Year's Eve I spent in my friend's house with my bunch. We had a lot of fun and we were dancing until dawn. What was interesting was the fact that me and my friends we were all got dressed black dressess, so we received from boys the nickname of black widows :).
The New Year brought me also a nice surprise: my 8-month goddaughter can say "ba ba" so now I can talk to her about important matters :). I'm very proud of her because she learnt also waving to say "bye bye".
All that remains for me to do is to say bye bye and see you next time! :)

Santa Claus is coming to town! :)

Hi again!
The day before yesterday, it's 6 December, we celebrated Saint Nicolas' Day. This day is for me some kind of beginning of Christmas fever although the real beginning of this period is the first Sunday of the Advent.
I think that every year the Christmas spree begins sooner and sooner. This year, from the supermarkets just dissappeared candels and flowers, at once appeared Christmas decorations, sweets and many types of gifts. In my opinion it's too early to buy these things in such advance.
My family and I, we saw ourselves yesterday Sunday because the 6th everybody had his matters, like every Saturday. We prepared some small gifts because it's not necessary to buy expensive presents 2 weeks before Christmas. We do it every year because we prefer to buy something better for Christmas :). This year I did the first Christmas gift for my little goddaughter Iza. She's only 7 months and it will be her first Christmas :). Now, I'm thinking about what to buy her for this occasion. As a godmother I have to make a good job :). Any ideas? :)

The winter is coming!

Hi, there!
I haven't been here some time and we have already December. Recently, the time pass with the speed of light. From my last post it happend a lot.
The 12th November it was my mum's birthday. I won't tell you how old is she because it doesn't matter here but I can only tell that she passed the magic border of human's life, especially important for a woman :). I can only wish her a lot of hapiness and health and once again so many years :).
The November transpired very busy month too. The school where I work organised the meetings with parents and, what's interesting, with children. For the first time I've met with such form of meetings because it was always my mum or dad who took part in the meetings with teachers. In my work each teacher was sitting by his own table. The children with their parents were walking from table to table to talk a while with every teacher, so with me too. It was a valuable experience for me at the beginning of my professional road :)
The December began frosty because this autumn, for the first time, the temperature fell below 0 degree Celsius. Moreover, it's very windy what only makes me feel that it's colder outside.
It leaves me nothing more than to say that "winter is coming" which is one of the most famous sentences from "The game of thrones" serial :).

November creeps into the cities :-)

Sorry that I hadn't write anything since 2 weeks but I have a lot of obligations and the fact of thinking about everything is impossible. I hope I'll write more often now.
In latest 2 weeks it occured a lot of things in my life. The November has begun with much of sun and high temperatures. We haven't had such beautiful autumn since many years. It's called polish golden autumn :-). The 1st November we excperienced All Saints' Day. This day in Poland all the families visit cemeteries where are buried their closest, so do I. In the afternoon I participated in the service at the cemetery where rests my grandfather. Unfortunately, every year I have to visit more and more graves. Later, I spent time with my family in my house and in the evening we went to the cemetery to admire the graves with thousands of candles and beautiful flowers. It's the only thing I like in this feast.
During all the week I has going to the university and to the work. I forgot to say that I have begun working in a primary school and a lower secondary school in Poznan. Of course I teach Spanish :-). My pupils are very curious and I really like to teach them.
Today, the 11th November, we celebrate in Poland the Independence Day. In all the biggest cities, in Poznań too, there are a lot of interesting events like parades or stage productions. These days I rest in my house but since Wednesday, that is tommorow, we have to return to everyday life :-). The next break from studies? Not until the Christmas! :-( I just can't wait for it! :-)

My name's Natalia and I study Spanish philology at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. I'm on the fourth grade of my studies and exactly this academic year I've started to re-learn English. Yes, I said "re-learn" because I haven't been learning English for 3 years, since I finished High School. For that reason, I have considerable difficulties in "thinking in English" :). No wonder, during last 3 years the romanic languages seized me totally: besides Spanish, I learn also French. So, don't wonder and, I beg you, don't laugh at me if I'll make some errors when I'll write that blog :). I won't take offence if somebody will correct me: It is never late to learn!

Ok, I think you're curious about why this blog and why in English? Firstly, this blog is a type of my "homework" for English lessons. Our English teacher want us, all the students, to write something in English every week for practising. In my opinion it's a good idea, because we can improve our acquaintance with English, not only in speech but in writing too. If you want, you can follow my English teacher's blog which is a role model for me and for everybody who wants to write good in English :).
I've decided to write about everything what happens in my life. I'm not good at thematic blogs and I didn't want to write about something what doesn't interest me. I think my life's quite dynamic and full of events, so I hope you won't be bored :). See you soon! :)
